Sport BC statistics tell us that as a community, Greater
Vernon Children annually require over $7,000 in funding. In addition,
the KidSport Fund in Vancouver is now looking for the Greater Vernon KidSport
to service the children of Armstrong and Lumby. With the addition of these
two communities, Greater Vernon KidSport will now have to raise $10,000
annually. Although our local Greater Vernon KidSport Chapter continues
to raise support monies, our funding assistance is limited, placing the
sustainability of our Fund in the hands of the community that we strive
to serve.
